Donald Matthew Hay established 'DM Hay' in 1955 to serve the needs of local churches. Operating from a shop in Castle Street close to Exeter Cathedral he established a thriving business. Although Donald retired in 1997, the business continued to grow and in 2004 moved into larger premises to develop the growing mail order side of the business. DM Hay is one of the UK's main distributors of consumables, furnishings and garments to churches large and small in every part of the country.
